There has been a tremendous rise in the demand for power in India. This surge in the power demand can be credited to the rise in utilization capacity, the rise in industrialization, the growth of population and urbanization. A scenario in India currently In the present times, India has the fifth largest installed capacity in the power sector worldwide. According to research, the power distribution transformer market in India is projected to reach $2.9 billion by 2022. A transformer is considered as the most costly asset in a power diffusion network as it comprises of nearly 60% cost of the total substation capital cost. Power transformers are designed keeping in mind their purpose and requirement of the power supply. Large power transformers are usually ranged above 100 MVA and can maximum go up to 1,000 MVA.
